Although rub on wax may not slide as quick, its definitely quicker to apply. And it turns out I'm too lazy to hot wax my board ofter enough. Also hot waxing is a super messy job and all the little wax scrapings get everywhere! So unless you have a really good space to hot wax I would definitely recommend rub-on.
